Thank you Brighton High School Students!
Here the MG girls pose with their portraits done by the art students of Brighton High in NY. Beautiful and creative renditions of the children's pictures brought "ooooo's" and "aaahhhh's" from each child. In the front row you will recognize Pavithra, Yemmimall, Sneha, Swathi, and Srinithi. Behind Srinithi, Soundariya's portrait is easily seen. Abirami's portrait included her desire to grow up to become a teacher, with an apple, math symbols, and other teacher icons in the background. Each child received a note from the artist, along with a photograph, so the child would know who painted/drew them. Some of the kids said they want to do reciprocal portraits of the student who made their masterpiece. Please read below (boys' picture) for more information. What a creative and unique way to spread compassion and hope to less fortunate children around the world! Thank you BHS, for choosing our Miracle Garden Orphans as recipients of your talents - you have touched their hearts!
Brighton High School Art Students' Portraits Arrive!
Students at Brighton High School had a bright idea to paint/draw original portraits of the Miracle Garden children. Working from pictures taken during July of 2009, students composed beautiful works of art depicting each child (and one of Adam!). Here you can see each boy with his portrait - the resemblance is amazing! Note the portraits of Suresh, Nandakumar, & Migavel in the front, and Sunder, Peter, and Balakrishnan toward the back. N. Prakash's portrait combined his desire to become an astronaut in the background of his portrait (planets and a rocketship). THANK YOU Brighton High School students for your gift of art!

Thank you Bethany UMC!
Art supplies will help foster creativity and replenish our dwindling supplies - the children LOVE to color and do art projects. Many of our kids win local art competitions in Coimbatore because of the practice they get using the great coloring books and art/craft items so generously sent from sponsors and churches - thank you!
Boxes arrive from Bethany UMC in Madison, WI
Beat up but intact, two boxes of books and art supplies arrived Monday from Bethany United Methodist Church. Thank you to everyone who sends well-packaged boxes of wonderful things!
