Garage sale to benefit orphanage

Recently we held a garage sale to benefit the Miracle Garden orphans. Thank you to everyone who helped us raise $300 for the kids! Special thanks to the Kwik Trip Gas Station store and the Festival Foods store that donated delicious food items to sell at the rummage sale. Several sponsors are also hosting birthday parties or other gatherings with the goal of raising funds for the orphanage - Praise God! He has blessed us to be a blessing to others! For ideas on how you can hold a garage sale, birthday party, or other gathering to benefit the children of Miracle Garden, email Michelle at jmpandian@yahoo.com.

Needed - a washing machine for white clothes

Pictures of MG staff members Kalai Selvan, Tamil Arasan, & Vignesh hand washing the children’s white uniforms, then hanging them to dry. The boys are very hard workers, but their services could be put to use elsewhere. We have one washing machine for colored clothes, that doesn't clean white clothes well (those of you who have been to MG know that for a FACT!). MG needs another similar washing machine only to be used for white clothes. This will cost $700 for the machine, delivery, & installation including plumbing. Anyone interested in helping with this labor-saving project, please contact Michelle at jmpandian@yahoo.com.

The new way and the old way

MG has one washing machine, purchased in 2005. Praise God- that machine works night and day doing 5+ loads of laundry 24/7. Overused, that machine gets colored clothes clean, but whites turn a dismal gray. The children’s school requires them to wear white uniforms daily, and it is shameful, embarrassing, and a bad testimony to send the kids in dismal grays. So the uniforms must be washed separately by hand at the washing stone in the other picture.

Honey anyone??

Kalai Selvan holds a honey comb taken from one of the MG trees. (Hope the bees don't find it now!)

The Dorothea Haus Ross Residential Compound

John stands at the doorway of the DHR compound at Miracle Garden. You can see both girls' and boys' dormitory buildings from the 3rd floor of the Mayfield Tower building. The roof of the car shed blocks the view of the entrance to the boys' dorm.
