Laundry lines.... Now that we have a washing machine, it looks like our drying process could use some help! The orphanage is looking for a new or used clothes dryer for the children's clothes, especially for the rainy days (or weeks) when clothes must be hung inside and take 3-4 days to dry. For the children's uniforms, this is especially important so they don't have to wear damp uniforms to school. Posted by Picasa

Orphan Yamuna stands in front of a table full of things many of you donated. If you look closely you will see a stuffed animal (a robin), candles, children's pain reliever, and toilet paper. Thank you to everyone who sent boxes to their orphans as well as to Miracle Garden in general. More pictures will follow of kids who received boxes of treats. Posted by Picasa

Orphan Vignesh next to the electrical shed. As engineer Rick Church will testify, the electrical setup of many places in India is scary. But this is how things work in India, at least in Theethipalayam. Thanks to Rick who gave us some good ideas at how to improve both safety and utility of our electrical situation. Again, we are recruiting expert engineers and many others to share their expertise on the trip to India in July (from about July 10th - 20th) this year. Any takers? Posted by Picasa

Inside the drinking water tank. Some sand in the tank is inevitable, so eachtime the tank is emptied, it must be cleaned out. Thank you to Mr. Mike Soliday and Ms. Mary Brand for coming through with funds toward purchasing the new above-ground bore well motor. That new motor should prevent catastrophies involving shortage of water on campus.  Posted by Picasa

Velavan, M. Raja, Pazil, Big Prakash, Raghu, and others get ready to clean the drinking water tank for another delivery. Thank God that He had given us the idea to have this tank built when Miracle Garden was built. It has served us well during our struggles with the bore well and motor. Posted by Picasa
